Biff Henderson Art Work

Bifflegopicture_3Carl Jung once said "A great work of art is like a dream for all its apparent obviousness it does not explain itself and is never unequivocal."  I have no idea what that means.  After all Carl Jung was a well-educated Swiss psychologist prone to using big words that no one understood, but I was lBifficepictureooking for a quote for this post about Biff Henderson art work and that one popped up in Google.  What I do know is that the Lego portrait of Biff Henderson that appeared on the February 25, 2005 edition of the Late Show with David Letterman belongs in The Louvre in Paris.  It is a fine example of the type of artwork that Leonardo da Vinci would be producing if he  worked with Legos and Bifftattoopicturewasn't dead.  Lego master builder Nathan Sawaya is reported to have used over 2,000 Lego pieces in creating this masterpiece.  This is just the latest in a long line of  breathtaking works of arts featuring Biff Henderson that have been displayed on The Late Show.  Who can forget the incredible Biff Henderson ice sculpture crafted by Mark Watson on the February 2, 2005 edition of The Late Show?  Or back on the November 8, 2004 edition of The Late Show when Brian Fink tattooed Biff Henderson's face on Ryan Carney.  I can't wait to see future pieces of Biff Henderson inspired art work.  If anyone else has any examples of Biff Henderson art (or even a french fry shaped like Biff Henderson), then please post them to the comments section of this blog.

Visit to the Late Show

Lateshow1About a year ago, I was in New York loitering outside the Ed Sullivan Theater, when I noticed a huge crowd around one of the exits.  I realized that a crowd that size could only mean that Late Show with David Letterman stage manager Biff Henderson must be about to leave the building.Lateshow2_1  It was quite a scene as people were pushing and shoving each other in an attempt to get in a better position with their cameras.  Suddenly the doors swung open, and flashbulbs started going off like crazy.  Unfortunately, it was a false alarm and turned out to be some unidentified blonde woman.     Everyone in the crowd was very Lateshow5 disappointed at this turn of events.  She kept smiling and posing and pretending like she was somebody important.  Some people took pictures of this mysterious lady anyway just to humor her I suppose.  I snapped her picture a couple times myself by accident before I realized that it wasn't Biff.  After the blonde lady left, the crowd Lateshow4 started to give up hope that Biff Henderson would ever appear and began to disperse.  I stuck around for a little while with the hope that I might yet get a photo of Biff.  My patience was rewarded, because Biff soon emerged from one of the studio exit doors.  I talked to Biff for a couple minutes and Lateshow3 told him about this website.  He then posed for a couple pictures.  I feel sorry for all those suckers who took off after that nobody blonde lady left, because they all missed out on the Biff Henderson photos they had been waiting for.
