Visit to the Late Show
About a year ago, I was in New York loitering outside the Ed Sullivan Theater, when I noticed a huge crowd around one of the exits. I realized that a crowd that size could only mean that Late Show with David Letterman stage manager Biff Henderson must be about to leave the building.
It was quite a scene as people were pushing and shoving each other in an attempt to get in a better position with their cameras. Suddenly the doors swung open, and flashbulbs started going off like crazy. Unfortunately, it was a false alarm and turned out to be some unidentified blonde woman. Everyone in the crowd was very
disappointed at this turn of events. She kept smiling and posing and pretending like she was somebody important. Some people took pictures of this mysterious lady anyway just to humor her I suppose. I snapped her picture a couple times myself by accident before I realized that it wasn't Biff. After the blonde lady left, the crowd
started to give up hope that Biff Henderson would ever appear and began to disperse. I stuck around for a little while with the hope that I might yet get a photo of Biff. My patience was rewarded, because Biff soon emerged from one of the studio exit doors. I talked to Biff for a couple minutes and
told him about this website. He then posed for a couple pictures. I feel sorry for all those suckers who took off after that nobody blonde lady left, because they all missed out on the Biff Henderson photos they had been waiting for.
Good job Biff
